The superhero reference in the title of this blog is definitely intentional. We take it seriously when our team members reach a level of expertise within their respective fields, in fact public speaking is a goal for most of our team members professional development plans. One of the most recognizable members of the Stellar Blue team is Nicole Hurd – she’s a data geek and our analytics guru. Because of her passion for and expertise with analytics, Nicole is regularly asked to speak on the topic in public.
Since the beginning of this year, some of her more notable appearances have included:
- Presenting multiple times for students in the UW-Oshkosh College of Business. As Nicole is fond of saying, “Don’t take numbers at face value – they will fool you!”
- Working with entrepreneurial students at Neenah High School on their real world “Shark Tank” experience known as Incubator. Students were eager to engage with the marketing tactics, SEO, and reach material that Nicole presented.
- Leading a breakout session at the UW-Stevens Point Central Wisconsin Social Media Conference. Her presentation on SEO was given to an audience of 40, but over 350 tuned in to see the livestream while it was happening or shortly thereafter.
“It’s a privilege to be asked to speak at any public event,” says managing director Jim Dobinski. “Each of us enjoys what we do. Being asked to present for an audience is a validation that our work is seen as high-quality. Recognition like this from our clients and colleagues is very gratifying.”
If you’re looking for a speaker for your next event, consider reaching out to any of our department leaders to leverage their subject matter expertise.
