Page like ads are designed to drive more Likes to your company or brand page to grow an audience. Ads are set up with a variation of copy and images and run on a determined time-frame and daily budget.

Offer Claims
Offer Claim ads are designed to promote and offer that’s running on Facebook. These ads also allow for budgeting and audience targeting.

Starting your first ad
Let’s start with a Page Post Engagement ad and walk through the steps of how to set one up.

1 . Go to Facebook Advertising page and click on Page Post Engagement

2 .  Make sure the post you wish to boost has been published to your Facebook page. In the drop down menu, you will see your post, click on it.

3 .  Edit the placement options to best fit how you’d like your ad to be seen. You can remove certain ad placements if you wish.

4 .  Determine your target audience. You can target based on location, age, gender, language, interest, behaviors, Facebook categories and connections. It’s best to keep your targeting not too specific and not too broad.

5 . Determine your overall budget and decide how long you’d like to run this ad. Facebook gives you an estimated reach based on your targeting and your budget.

By following these 5 simple steps, you should be well on your way to running your very first Facebook ad. Although, this is just one of many options available for Facebook Advertising. In addition to the many ad variations, Facebook offers highly detailed audience insights which allows for even more targeting and audience segmentation.
