Facebook provides an easy way of sharing and storing photos online, but what happens if your Facebook friend with an album of event photos you want to keep decided to delete his or her account? Additionally, what if you choose to delete your account it becomes hacked, causing you to lose your own photos? You need to ensure the photos that are meaningful are backed up and saved. The following four options allow you to easily save photos from Facebook. And the best part, all four options are FREE:
Pick and Zip– This software will download your albums, videos, or photos you are tagged in and compress the video and images into a .zip file or .pdf.
Facebook2Zip -After logging into to your Facebook account you have the ability to download your own photos or select which friends you’d like to download albums from. Pick the albums you want and Facebook2Zip will download the photos into a .zip file.
IFTTT Recipe -Every time an image is linked to your Facebook account, IFTTT will add that file to Dropbox. (This can’t download photos you’ve already been tagged in, but it will save photos you get tagged in from here on out.)
You can also download each photo manually by hovering over image and click “Options” then “Download.” This provides the highest resolution.
