Many businesses are now joining Pinterest, the virtual pin board social network, and they are not only pinning and following others, they are getting creative. Stellar wants to start highlighting some of the best Pinterest campaigns out there, beginning with one that supports a good cause.
While we were out pinning away, we came across Elizabeth Arden’s #PinItToGive it Campaign to support women with breast cancer.
Many brands have launched fun engaging campaigns on Pinterest–some free giveaways and some interactive brand promoting, but Elizabeth Arden beauty products most recent campaign gives hope and good spirits.
The company created a board titled “PinItToGiveIt” consisting of 11 pins displaying positive pictures of women with beast cancer looking beautiful and images supporting the overall campaign.
For every image repinned in the Board using the hashtag #PinItToGiveIt Elizabeth Arden will donate one eyeliner to charitable partner Look Good Feel Better. Look Good Feel Better is a non-medical, brand-neutral public service program that is dedicated to improving the self-esteem and quality of life of people undergoing treatment for cancer.
The campaign has had a good start, with some of the pins being re-pined more than 100 times.
